Kink Education
As a therapist and kink practitioner, I am committed to increasing access and reducing stigma around kink and BDSM.
Kink can be in our lives as a fun hobby, a dedicated lifestyle, or as an opportunity for deep growth and healing, both individually and collectively. Or all of the above!
I have been engaging in kink practices of various kinds for the past decade and have been attending trainings on aspects of culturally competent care for erotically diverse clients for the past 6+ years. I explore at the intersections of kink identities, communities, behaviors, and fantasies, and how they affect health and well-being.
I am available for orientation trainings and consultations for therapists wanting a more kink-affirming practice. This can range from an introduction to basic concepts to clinical red flags and trauma healing opportunities.
I also teach in-person introductory workshops and private lessons on some of the technical aspects of kink, such as:
- Impact Toys and Impact Play
- Playing with Needles and other Sharp Things
- Single-tail Whips
All trainings and consultations will include some basics on consent and negotiation as well as content recognizing the oppressive roots and origins of many of kink’s activities. Nothing we do exists in a vacuum and play time is no different. However we are engaging with kink, if we don’t learn about and reconcile with these unfortunate histories and realities, we risk perpetuating them. Instead, let’s welcome the invitation to cultivate and practice accountability!
To this end, I encourage you to learn some more through the links below –
